COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Property owners across Branch County are being reminded by the Branch County Treasurer’s office that the deadline for paying your 2017 local unit taxes is Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Those taxes must be paid to your township treasurer by the end of the business day.
If payment is not received, the property tax will be considered delinquent and turned over to the Branch County Treasurer’s office Thursday, March 1. Additional interest penalties will apply after Thursday.
Delinquent taxes also need to be paid to the Branch CountyTreasurer by the end of business Wednesday or else forfeiture fees, which can be substantial, will then kick in.
