COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Century Bank and Trust recently presented the St. Joseph County United Way with a check for over $1,200 to match donations towards a special grant so that four schools could buy Nightlocks.
Nightlock is a classroom door lockdown mechanism.
It allows a teacher to immediately lock the door from inside the classroom in case there is an unwanted intruder.
The device uses the strength of the floor to withstand tremendous force and works on any outward- and inward-swinging doors.
The Nightlock unit is installed at floor level, and remains out of the reach of anyone who is trying to get into a room by breaking a window.
