COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) -Coldwater Fire Marshal Paul Dove says the Coldwater Fire Department has received information about the recall of Double Insight Multi-cookers that are sold exclusively at Walmart.
The Gem 65 8-in-1 multi-cookers have a defect that can cause it to overheat and melt on the underside thus posing a fire hazard.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled multi-cookers, unplug the unit and return it to Walmart to receive a free replacement.
Double Insight has gotten over 100 reports of overheating with five reports of minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.
The multi-cookers have been sold by Walmart since last August for about $80.
