UNDATED (WTVB) – It has been over two weeks since a combination of almost five inches of rain and the rapid melting of over a foot of snow led to flooding problems around Branch County.
There were at least 20 road closings reported to the Branch County Road Commission at the height of the flooding.
The Road Commission reported on Thursday there were still three road closings. Still shut down because of the high water are Central Road between Smith and Behnke, Ridge from U.S. 12 to Rawson Road and Hall between Brocklebank and Ray Quincy.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service has extenced the Flood Warning for the Saint Joseph River at Three Rivers until Tuesday morning. At 10:00 a.m. Friday the stage was 7.7 feet and falling. Forecasters say the river will fall below the seven foot flood stage at around 8:00 a.m. on Monday morning.
