BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson School Board approved a number of contract renewals during their meeting on Monday night.
Business Manager Rachelle Roby had her contract renewed.
Administrators who had their contracts were Junior and Senior High School Principal Wesley McCrea, Junior and Senior High School Principal and Athletic Director Jean LaClair, Ryan Elementary School Principal Mark Heifner and Anderson Elementary School Principal Kerri Jent.
According to minutes from the meeting, Superintendent Rick Hilderley discussed how school safety is taken seriously by all staff and there is continued discussion on areas to be improved on. He said ALICE training is being provided for staff and the Crisis Plan is being looked at and updated.
No clear threat was made but Bronson Junior/Senior High School was placed on a brief lockdown on February 22, 2018 as a precaution due to fears over a brief social media post from a fake Instagram account.
