COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that city’s Department of Municipal Services staff and a private monument company will start making repairs next week to the damaged monuments and grave markers at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Vandals caused extensive damage to the cemetery between last Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
Baker says the current count is 125 monuments or grave markers that were toppled over or damaged in the north section of the cemetery.
Coldwater Police are now patrolling both cemeteries. No suspects have been arrested yet.
