ROCKFORD, MI (WTVB) – Two Coldwater High School gymnasts traveled to Rockford Saturday for the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division Two Individual Gymnastics State Finals. Juniors Claire Sheppard and Erica Rodgers qualified in two different events. Sheppard competed on the floor exercise while Rodgers performed on the uneven bars.
Sheppard performed a new high superior full twisting layout in her routine to score 8.725 and tied for 22nd in her final performance of the season. Rodgers put together one of her best routines of the season to score 8.1 and finished in 20th place
The Finals event featured over 60 competitors from high schools in two different divisions from all over the state.
