COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater Board of Public crew who were sent to New York State to help restore power following a recent winter storm are back home.
Steve Barone, Jarret Wolford, Jory Watson and Kent Brecheisen volunteered for the work as they helped those affected by Winter Storm Quinn.
CBPU Director Jeff Budd said during Tuesday night’s Board of Directors meeting that the four linemen, along with crews from Marshall and Bryan, Ohio left for Rye, New York, located on the border of New York and Connecticut March 8.
Budd said the employees spent about a week in Rye, New York, which is on the New York-Connecticut border. The Coldwater crew returned home last Friday.
Budd said it was no vacation, as they worked 16 hour days, but he felt this was a great opportunity for them to see other systems and techniques.
