LITCHFIELD, MI (WTVB) – A Litchfield man was killed Wednesday when a fire broke out in a vacant downtown Litchfield business which had housed several apartment units.
The Hillsdale Daily News reports that according to Litchfield Police Chief Dan Roberts, the fatal victim was 34-year-old Joshua Douglas Page.
The body was found after the fire had been put out.
Litchfield firefighters were assisted by crews from Allen, Homer and Jonesville.
Roberts told the Hillsdale Daily News it appears the fire was an accident and there were no signs of illegal activity. The Michigan State Police Fire Marshall Division is investigating.
