MONTPELIER, OH (WTVB) – Two people are dead following a fiery crash Thursday morning on the Indiana Toll Road in Steuben County near the Indiana-Ohio state line.
WANE-TV reports a semi tractor trailer was burning on top of a passenger vehicle when rescue crews arrived at about 10:30 a.m..
Both of the fatal victims were in the passenger vehicle.
They were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.
The eastbound lanes had to be shut down for a couple of hours following the accident.
