COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – AAA of Michigan says gas prices in the state went up an average of 14 cents a gallon in the last week.
The average price is $2.71 a gallon which is a 44 cent increase from this time last year.
Prices historically go up when warmer weather arrives. They may continue to rise into early April as crude stocks are reported to be lower.
The web site www.gasbuddy.com says gas prices around Coldwater Monday morning were between $2.72 and $2.79 a gallon.
Prices were cheaper to the south. Stations in the Angola area were selling gas for between $2.46 and $2.65 a gallon. To the north prices in Battle Creek and Marshall were also between $2.72 and $2.79 per gallon
