COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the Coldwater City Council Monday night that the investigation into the vandalism almost three weeks ago of over 100 Oak Grove Cemetery monuments and markers is continuing.
He said the staff is preparing recommendations about possible security changes at the cemetery.
He thanked Brian Wells of Dutcher Funeral Home and Sunburst Memorials of Lansing for their time and assistance in making repairs to the vandalized monuments and markers.
Baker said their knowledge and equipment were extremely helpful and both companies donated their time to the community.
Coldwater Police believe the vandalism took place sometime between 5:00 p.m. March 6 and 3:00 p.m. the following afternoon.
