COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – There will be times this week you will do a double take at the calendar. Spring officially arrived two weeks ago but this week’s weather at times will make you think we are still in February.
The average high for the first week of April is in the low 50s, however the forecast is calling for temperatures well below normal from Wednesday through at least the weekend.
In addition, forecasters are calling for snow showers and freezing rain on Tuesday night.
Highs on Wednesday are only expected to be in the mid 30s and be no warmer than 40 degrees through Saturday.
Overnight lows on Friday and Saturday are expected to be in the teens.
Don’t expect a major warmup in the foreseeable future. The web site www.accuweather.com is predicting below normal temperatures for the entire month of April.
This follows a cold month of March in Coldwater as the average temperature came out to two degrees below normal.
