QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A special meeting of the Quincy School Board is scheduled to take place at 6:00 p.m. this Monday night as the process to find the district’s next Superintendent kicks into gear.
The job was posted in January and the search has included the use of stakeholder focus groups by the Michigan Leadership Institute.
The deadline for applications was this past Friday.
The school board on Monday night will review applications during a closed session from candidates who have requested a confidential appraisal.
They will then decide in open session the applicants who will continue to the first interviews on April 17th.
A second round of interviews is schedule for April 23rd.
The timeline calls for the new Superintendent to start on July first.
Former Superintendent Craig Artist resigned and retired last July after a controversy surrounding former teacher and I.T. Director Jason Ferrell who eventually entered no contest pleas to a pair of third degree criminal sexual conduct charges.
