COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A raccoon that got into the Garfield Substation is being blamed for a brief power outage late Sunday night that affected Coldwater residents connected to the substation.
Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director Jeff Budd told the Coldwater City Council Monday night that the power was restored in about 40 minutes. Almost half of Coldwater suffered the outage.
Among the areas affected was the Coldwater Wal-Mart store. The CBPU has apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused.
