COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – April is Earth Month and the City of Coldwater has offered residents several chances to celebrate the occasion.
City Manager Keith Baker said during Monday’s City Council meeting that residents can vote on line throughout April to help Coldwater get a $20,000 grant from the National Recreation and Park Association to improve one of its parks.
To vote, all you have to do is visit www.meetmeatthepark.org and enter Coldwater, Michigan.
Free paper yard waste bags will also be available at City Hall Friday April 20 while supplies last.
In addition, the city has received 50 trees from the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club. Baker says the trees will be planted in Heritage and Jaycee Parks Sunday April 22 in celebration of Earth Day and the International Rotary Club’s Year of the Tree.
