COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Two Branch County programs that prepares students for school has received a Quality Rating from a state organization that rates preschool and child care programs.
The Branch Intermediate School District Head Start and Great Start Readiness Program both earned the rating from Great Start to Quality, Michigan’s tiered quality rating and improvement system for child care and preschools. The Branch County programs operate in Bronson, Coldwater, Girard, and Quincy
Great Start to Quality rates the level of quality of all licensed and registered child care and preschool programs in Michigan. The move comes as research shows learning begins at birth and high-quality child care and preschool can help children succeed in school, work and life.
In Michigan, programs and providers can earn between one and five stars, based on the number of state standards they meet. The Branch County programs received a five rating.
