FREMONT, IN (WTVB) – Indiana State Police have released the identity of a murder victim whose body was found last Friday morning at the Trine State Recreation Area in Steuben County.
They say 29 year old Nigel Jerome Headley, most recently of Lansing, Michigan died from multiple blunt force traumatic injuries to the head.
An autopsy was conducted this past Sunday morning, and as a result, Steuben County Coroner Bill Harter has ruled the manner of death a homicide.
The decomposed body was found by park workers who immediately contacted authorities.
This a joint investigation between the Indiana State Police, the Indiana Conservation Officers and the Steuben County Coroner’s Office.
