COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education approved a pair of agreements with Kellogg Community College and the Calhoun Intermediate School District Wednesday.
The KCC agreement for Early Middle College Services would start July 1, 2018. The agreement is for services provided by the Branch Area Careers Center. In turn, KCC would pay the BISD. $55,000.
The agreement supports the BISD and KCC.’s county-wide Career Development Services.
Among the services provided by the BISD will be managing the Career Development Counselor and the KCC Branch County Student Success Coach.
Office space will be provided at both the Branch Area Careers Center and at the Grahl Center with additional space available as needed at the KCC campus in Battle Creek.
The other agreement approved was for three years starting on July first with the Calhoun I.S.D. for instructional services. Under the agreement, the BISD would pay $123,000 to the Calhoun I.S.D. for school improvement, instruction, curricular, school system and leadership support during the 2018-2019 school year.
The cost for the remaining two years would be based on salary costs and employee benefits.
