THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – The heavy rain from the Wednesday night storm has led the National Weather Service in Northern Indiana to issue a Flood Warning for the St. Joseph River at Three Rivers until further notice.
At 9:00 a.m. Thursday, the stage was 6.9 feet and rising. Minor flooding is forecast with the flood stage at seven feet.
According to the forecast, the river will crest near 8.1 feet around 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.
A National Weather Service spotter in Coldwater measured 1.89 inches of rain overnight. Another spotter southwest of Sturgis measured 4.2 inches of rain and there was a report of 2.68 inches of rain in LaGrange, Indiana.
