QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school track and field, Quincy defeated Springport 98-39 and Homer 105-31 Wednesday.
Quincy winners were Devan Fisher (200), Nathan Nohr (800, 1600, 3200), Ian Trall (110 hurdles and 300 hurdles), Trey Watson (shot put), Jonathan Purvis (discus) and Bryce Ruhl (high jump and long jump). Quincy won the 400, 800 and 3200 relays.
Union City and Bronson took part in a double dual meet with Reading. Team scores were unavailable but individual winners for Union City in the boys meet were Austin Mosher (100), Gavin Hooker (400), Chad Bruce (110 hurdles, 300 hurdles), Josh Watson (high jump) and Caleb Sigourney (pole vault). Bronson winners were Luis Ortiz (1600 and 3200), Ryan Tackett (shot put) and Alex Arias (discus).
Girls Track—
Quincy defeated Homer 73-64 but lost to Springport 73-59. Quincy’s Madelyn Allman won the 100 hurdles and the 300 hurdles. The Orioles won the 1600 and 3200 relays.
Union City and Bronson took part in a double dual meet with Reading. Team scores were unavailable but individual winners for Union City Makayla Wright (pole vault) and Bracy Swift (long jump). Bronson winners were Jenna Salek (100, 200), Keona Salesman (400, high jump), Xochiti Garcia (1600, 3200) and Madelyn Thompson (shot put, discus). Union City won the 400 relay while Bronson finished first in the 3200 relay.
