BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police are investigating an accident last night in which a man was struck by a car in Branch County’s Matteson Township.
The incident occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. on M-86 just west of Athens Road. About 15 minutes earlier, Branch County 911 Central Dispatch received a call that a large tree limb had fallen at that location and was across the roadway. Then 911 received a follow up call at 6:55 p.m. with a report that someone had been hit there by a vehicle driving on M-86.
The man was taken by Life Care Ambulance to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment and then admitted. There’s no word on his condition and his name was not released.
Further details concerning the accident were not provided by Michigan State Police.
