COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A break in at Rick’s Party Store and an accident in which a vehicle crashed into the Walmart Store on Saturday morning are believed to be related.
The Sheriff’s Department is looking into the break-in at Rick’s.
Meanwhile, the accident involving a vehicle which got inside of the Walmart store and came to a stop by the pharmacy is being investigated by Coldwater Police.
There were no injuries at the Wal Mart store. An employee said there was a huge noise and it was scary. The pharmacy entrance was closed. All shoppers had to get into the store through the grocery entrance.
A store manager referred further questions to WalMart’s media relations. We called media relations but their office is closed until Monday.
A female driver has been taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
The glass that was broken out out of the front door at Rick’s was later replaced and business at the store was back to normal at mid morning.
The incidents happened between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
