COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s getting to be like a broken record. Sheriff John Pollack told the Branch County Board of Commissioners during their work session Thursday that a water main at the County Jail has another leak.
Pollack says this leak will be more expensive to fix since a major valve will have to be removed. Pollack thinks the pipe keeps breaking because of its age.
A major water leak last New Year’s weekend took 31 hours to fix.
County officials are hoping voters approve a 20-year millage request that would be no higher than 1.25 mills per year August 7, 2018 so that a new Branch County Jail can be built.
