BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Sheriff’s Department is looking into a possible attempt by four men to abduct a pair of children on Cranson Road in Bethel Township Sunday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Department says the incident was reported by the mother of the children at about 3:50 p.m. Sunday.
She said the men were in a silver or light colored gray mid 2000 year Toyota or Mazda four door passenger car with an unknown Michigan registration plate and tinted windows.
The mother told deputies she could see the four men trying to lure her seven-year-old daughter and nine-year-old son to their vehicle. When she came outside to tell the men to leave, the driver smiled, waved and left heading east on Cranson Road.
The driver was said to have a mustache.
The children were not injured. The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the investigation.
