KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school tennis, Coldwater finished ninth at the Division 2 Regionals hosted by Portage Central in Kalamazoo Friday. Their regional was the biggest in the state.

No 1 singles Meredith Grife lost to Portage Northern Francesca Riehl 7-5, 6-1
No 2 singles Emily Foulk won her first match Zeeland West Victoria Moore 7-5, 6-3. She lost in the 2nd round to Mattawan Meredith Smula 6-0, 6-0
No. 3 singles Merlyn Johnson won her first match over Gull Lakes Alayna Cornelius 6-2, 7-5 and then lost her 2nd round match to Portage Northern Angelina Riehl 6-0, 6-1.
No. 4 singles Loveleen Lalia lost to Zeeland West Callie DeMann 7-6, 6-3.
Doubles:
No. 1 doubles Samantha Youse/Gabby Boston lost to Mattawans Eleri Irish/Juliette Langlinais 6-4, 7-6.
No. 2 doubles Faith Herendeen/Melissa Vozar won their first match over Portage Northerns Nicole Remillard/Sharon Shaw 6-2, 6-2 and then lost to Portage Centrals Zoha Aqueel/Sarah Denison 6-1, 6-3.
No. 3 doubles Mikaela Daoud/Payton Molnar won their first match over Gull Lakes Mia Green/Shelby Wurtsbaugh 6-2, 6-1 and then lost to Portage Centrals Allison Sachwitz/Kimberly Kovacik 6-2, 7-6.
No. 4 doubles Amber Aguirre/Elloree Madden won over St. Josephs Halee Sharkey/Chloe Bealer 6-3, 6-4 and then lost to Zeeland Easts Auden Ceithaml/Emma Cech 6-1, 6-0.
