COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s been a spring that would make any high school athletic director pull their hair out.
A frigid April followed by a soggy May has blown up the high school spring sports schedules around the area.
Many contests have had to be rescheduled.
The Coldwater varsity baseball and softball doubleheaders at Pennfield were originally scheduled for April 17, 2018, but were postponed until Monday due to cold temperatures and snow.
They had to be postponed again Monday due to rain.
Due to a number of factors, the twinbills will have to be played at the unusual time of 1:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon as athletic officials at the two schools were just about out of options in their attempts to get the final Interstate 8 Conference games for this season played. .
Pennfield is unable to play any contests Wednesday evening.
They had multiple constraints on Thursday as well and neither school could play Friday due to the holiday weekend.
