COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education approved a request from Chartwell’s Food Service Monday night to increase lunch prices for the 2018-2019 school year in compliance with federal regulations.
The five cent increase for students will be for those not eligible for the free and reduced program. Elementary lunch will be $2 while the price for Secondary Lunch Tier One will be $2.25. Secondary Lunch Tier Two will cost $3. Breakfast will still be free.
Adult meals will be adjusted accordingly by using the adult pricing tool that will be provided by the Michigan Department of Education prior to the start of the next school year.
