COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Early Bird Exchange Club has presented its final Student of the Month awards for the current school year, which ends Friday in Coldwater.
The club’s latest Young Citizenship Awards went to Coldwater Legg Middle School 8th graders Anna DeMeester and Aaron May, with the honors coming at the May 23 Early Bird Exchange meeting. The recognition goes to students who demonstrate quality conduct in their everyday lives, including in academics and leadership.
DeMeester is the April award recipient. She is the daughter of Mark and Sharon DeMeester and enjoys sports and backpacking. She has done the Agrienvironmental Wilderness Expedition for 3 years and would like to pursue a career in the healthcare field.
Aaron May is the award winner for the month of May and is the son of Ted and Heather May. Aaron also enjoys sports and working out and has played basketball and baseball for 8 years and says he’s looking forward to competing in football this fall. Aaron says he would like to attend Michigan State and become a scientist or a professional athlete
