MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater ended their season with a 13th place finish at the Division Two Boys Golf Regional Tournament at the Marshall Country Club Wednesday.
With no seniors on the roster, the Cardinals had a team score of 371. They were led by Alec Keplinger who fired an 85 and finished 18th. Grey Skudlarick had a 93 while Kyle Herman fired a 95 and Noah Waterbury carded a 98.
Gull Lake, Marshall and Mattawan advanced to the State Finals at Bedford Valley next week. Gull Lake finished first with a 322 followed by Marshall at 326 and Mattawan at 327. Marshall sophomore Matt Flynn was the medalist with a 74.
Union City finished eighth while Bronson was 13th Wednesday at the Division Four Boys Golf Regional Tournament hosted by White Pigeon at Klinger Lake Country Club. Sophomore Nolan Shaffer led the Chargers with a 95 while Nick Collyer carded a 99. The Chargers had a team score of 402.
Bronson ended with a score of 431. They were led by junior Brandon Hyska who had a 98.
Kalamazoo Christian, Kalamazoo Hackett and White Pigeon all advanced to the State Finals. Colin Sikkenga of Kalamazoo Christian was the medalist with a 71.
Thursday Quincy will play at the Division 3 Regional hosted by Dowagiac at Hampshire Country Club.
