OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The weekend death of an Ovid Township man is being investigated by the Michigan State Police.
36-year-old Grant Gregory Morrison died at his home in the 400 block of Morning Glory Lane.
State Police Troopers were dispatched at about 12:25 a.m. Sunday morning on a report of an assault at the residence.
The assault involved Morrison and a 40-year-old man from Coldwater.
Troopers found Morrison was unresponsive when they arrived.
CPR was conducted by troopers and the other man but efforts to revive Morrison were unsuccessful.
An autopsy has been conducted. Investigators are now awaiting a report on the autopsy as well as toxicology tests.
No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed yet.
Morrison was a 2001 Coldwater High School graduate. His funeral will take place Saturday.
