FT WAYNE, IN (WTVB) – The conditions of two Coldwater teenagers who were injured last Saturday night in a traffic accident east of Fremont, Indiana have improved.
A spokesperson at Parkview Regional Medical Center said Friday that 18-year-old Oliver Winter and 17-year-old Claire Sheppard are both listed in fair condition.
They were flown to Parkview after the two vehicle accident which took place at the intersection of State Road 120 and County Road 600 East.
Winter and Sheppard were pinned in their pickup truck after it struck a tree on the drivers and had to be freed by rescue crews.
Winter graduated from Coldwater High School last Sunday. Sheppard will be a senior in the fall at C.H.S.. She competed in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Girls Track Finals last Saturday just hours before the accident.
Two Defiance, Ohio residents were in the other vehicle. They were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
