COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man is facing a felony domestic violence charge after being arrested late last Thursday night in an apartment in Quincy.
48-year old Scott Halferty was arraigned Friday on two counts in Branch County District Court. He’s accused of domestic violence 3rd offense and interfering with electronic communications. Further details on the alleged crimes were not available from Quincy Village Police.
Halferty is due back in District Court for a probable cause hearing June 19, 2018. His bond was set at $100,000.
Conviction of domestic violence 3rd offense may result in up to 2 years in prison, and up to a $2,500 fine, or both.
