COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners Tuesday approved an additional 169 hours for the Branch County Sheriff’s Department Marine Patrol for patrols on Coldwater Lake and Long Lake, after private donations were raised by the Coldwater Lake Association.
Sheriff John Pollack said during last Thursday’s work session that lake association members wanted additional patrols because they were concerned about the happenings on the lake between Monday and Friday.
Pollack said two officers would be performing the weekday duties.
In addition, a plaque was presented to Allen Booth from the maintenance department for his 40 years of service to the county.
