OVID TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Ovid Township voters will have to once again cast their ballots in the August 7, 2018 primary election at the Coldwater Lake Association building.
Construction on a new Ovid Township Hall started in April and it had been hoped it would be ready for the August primary.
But it has run into several delays including the wet weather that we all have had to endure this spring.
The new building will replace the old Township Hall which was destroyed in a fire on March 1, 2017.
Township Clerk Tammie Omo e-mailed Branch County Clerk Terry Ann Kubasiak on Wednesday of their intentions to move the polling site because the completion of the hall would be too close to the Primary.
The old township hall had only been used for 12 years before it went up in flames. A temporary trailer has been used to conduct township business.
