COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Coldwater man entered no contest pleas to three child sex abuse counts Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
23-year-old Brandon Michael Biggs is scheduled to be sentenced August 6, 2018 on charges of distributing and promoting child abusive material, having child sexually abusive material and assault with intent to commit sexual penetration.
If Biggs gets the maximum sentence on the three counts, under Michigan law he is looking at a prison term of up to 21 years.
All other charges in the case will be dismissed by prosecutors in exchange for his pleas.
Biggs was arrested in March at his home on Harrison Street following a Michigan State Police investigation.
He was charged for allegedly committing sex crimes with an eight year old girl for six months and then sharing pictures of the incidents on line.
