COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch Intermediate School District Board of Education will be asked Wednesday to accept the resignation of Jamie Engel as the district’s Vocational Education Director at the Branch Area Careers Center.
Engel took over two years ago from Mike Hoffner who retired in 2016 after 38 years with the district.
BISD Superintendent Joe Lopez says Engel has been hired as the Career and Technical Education Director for the Ingham Intermediate School District in Lansing. Engel will start his new job next week.
Engel was principal at Quincy Middle School before he took the BISD position.
Also Wednesday, the board will be asked to approve a contract with Perry Personnel to have John Howard serve as Truancy Officer.
Howard retired as Juvenile Court Administrator and Referee last February after serving Branch County for almost 40 years.
