COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Community Schools Athletic Director Todd Farmer reported to the Coldwater Board of Education Monday night that the boys and girls swimming programs will be part of a swim conference this school year after being an independent.
Farmer is wrapping up his first year as the high school athletic director.
He ran down the numerous accomplishments Coldwater High School athletes made during the past school year.
As for 2018-2019, Farmer said for the second straight year, the athletic program will join in the fight against cancer during “Fight the Fight” Purple Week which will take place the week of October 1, 2018.
The fall sports student-athletes will be sporting purple attire during their home games that week in honor of loved ones affected by cancer.
All proceeds will be given to the Cancer Center at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
Farmer also thanked the Coldwater Athletic Booster Club for their help with the Cross Fit program. He said there are 140 students in the program and that a majority of them are freshmen.
