CENTREVILLE, MI (WTVB) – Glen Oaks Community College will be getting $2.2 million from the Unite State Department of Agriculture to renovate their commons area.
The U.S.D.A. is investing $237 million in 119 rural community service facilities throughout the country through its Community Facilities Direct Loan Program.
The current Glen Oaks facility was built in 1965. Upgrades will be made to the lighting and H.V.A.C. systems as well as to the café, a meeting space and restrooms. Student and faculty commons areas will also be improved.
Students at Glen Oaks can now stay on the campus around the clock following the completing of a 106 bed dormitory.
