COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Some of the vacant buildings in downtown Coldwater may soon be filled.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Coldwater Downtown Development Authority board Wednesday that some law offices will soon be opening up in the downtown area thanks to a couple of real estate transactions.
He said the former Merriman and Lamp Post Christian Bookstore buildings have both been sold.
In addition, Baker said they are working with the Coldwater Broadway Grille about having an outdoor patio.
It would be contingent on whether or not South Monroe will stay a one way street with angled parking.
It was originally planned to provide more parking during work in the Chandler Plaza parking lot. But the one way street and the angled parking has gotten so many positive reviews that it may become permanent in the future.
