QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – An 80-year-old woman was injured Saturday night in a firecracker related incident on U.S. 12 just east of Quincy.
Quincy Police Chief Jeremy Burch says the woman lit the mortar-like firecracker and threw it up in the air but it came down and hit her in the head.
She suffered a head laceration and her eyebrows were singed off in the incident which was reported at about 8:00 p.m..
Her bleeding stopped by the time Quincy Police arrived. She was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment.
