COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police say a moped driver was injured in an accident early Thursday on Union City Road in Coldwater Township.
Troopers say the moped was headed south just north of Narrows Road when the driver lost control and struck a guardrail on Union City Road. The man, whose name was not released, was wearing a helmet and told the State Police he believes he fell asleep right before the crash.
According to troopers, the driver complained of neck and back pain and was transported by Life Care Ambulance to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment. The accident happened around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
