MOTTVILLE, MI (WTVB) – A Michigan State Police trooper had to save a child from a hot vehicle Thursday in St Joeseph County’s Mottville.
State Police say a two year old was accidentally locked inside for between five and ten minutes and was in distress.
Trooper Erik Gantert arrived shortly after the initial call was made at about 5:30 p.m..
Due to temperatures that were about 90 degrees, Gantert quickly broke the driver’s side window.
He then unlocked the vehicle so the mother could retrieve the child.
The youngster had a large amount of sweat on its face and body but was reported to be conscious and in good health.
