COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Branch County Jail inmate entered into a plea agreement Monday, after he was caught with two pieces of metal in the jail two months ago.
26-year-old Tyler Michael Griffith entered a guilty plea to attempted possession of a weapon in jail during a plea hearing in Branch County Circuit Court.
In exchange for his plea, prosecutors will dismiss two counts of being in possession of a weapon in jail and a charge of assault and battery.
Griffith is scheduled to be sentenced August 27, 2018.
