COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting that a long time Part Paid Fire Fighter for the city recently announced his retirement while the Coldwater Police Department has hired a new officer.
Baker says Jacob Kruszka is retiring after nearly 38 years as a Part Paid Fire Fighter.
Meanwhile, Michael Tripp has been hired as a Coldwater Police Officer. Tripp recently retired from the Muskegon Police Department after 25 years of service but has connections to the Union City and Branch County area.
Tripp’s first day with CPD will be on Monday.
