BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Alarms for a pole barn fire and a boat blaze in Branch County over the weekend at separate locations came in at the same time Saturday. Both fires were reported around 4:40 p.m.
The Bronson Fire Department was toned out for the barn fire and received mutual aid from the Lakeland Fire Department for the blaze at 543 Clearwater Road. Bronson firemen were on the job north of Pearl Road for about an hour and a half. Further details were unavailable.
The boat fire happened offshore along Morrison Lake in Girard Township at the Waffle Farm Campground. The flames were reported out by the time the Coldwater Fire Department arrived and they were on the scene for less than a half an hour with assistance from the Branch County Sheriff’s Department and Branch County Marine Patrol.
