COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Michigan Department of Transportation has announced that paving work on four miles of the I-69 Business Loop is scheduled to start August 13, which will be the Monday after the Branch County Fair wraps up.
The nearly $1 million project is scheduled to last about two months and be wrapped up by October 19, 2018.
The work will be done from east of I-69’s Fenn Road exit to just south of Pierce Street.
The project will include a three year warranty on materials and workmanship.
MDOT says the existing four lane pavement will be converted to three lanes with a center turn lane and five foot wide shoulders.
There will be single lane closures in the City of Coldwater, while traffic in rural areas will have to use alternate lanes.
There will be no night work and no detours.
