Redbirds eliminated from AABC tournament

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Redbirds were eliminated from the AABC Mickey Mantle Regional Baseball tournament on Friday after they lost to Foutch 16 8-2 and the Michigan Bulls 14-4. Austin Roby had a double and scored twice against the Bulls while Jackson Januez had two hits. The Redbirds still made it to the tournament semifinals thanks in part to their two wins during pool play on Thursday. The Bulls will face Foutch 16 for the regional title at Lowe Field on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. and the right to advance to the national Mickey Mantle tournament. Foutch 16 advanced to the regional finals with a 14-0 victory over the Ottawa Streaks from Illinois.
