COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Sherwood man is headed to prison for 210 months to 30 years after his guilty plea to sexually abusing a teenage girl.
32-year-old Clyde Black admitted his guilt to first degree criminal sexual conduct. In exchange for his plea, three other first degree C.S.C. counts were dismissed by prosecutors.
Black was sentenced Monday in Branch County Circuit Court.
Black’s 35-year-old wife Katrina was a co-defendant in the case. She was ordered to serve 38 months to 10 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections earlier this year after she entered a no contest plea to second degree child abuse. She was originally charged with four counts for alleged sex crimes involving a 14-year-old girl.
According to court documents, the Blacks were arrested following a Michigan State Police investigation into accusations they allegedly tried to teach sex education to the girl in the case.
