COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s not often that a construction project starts early, but that’s the case for a major thoroughfare in Coldwater.
Reconstruction of the Indiana and Northeastern Railroad track at Division and Park Streets, originally scheduled to begin July 23, actually began Monday.
The project was slated for two weeks, with detour signs set up at Pearl Street to the north and Garfield Road to the south.
The work will include the upgrading of railroad signals.
Michigan Department of Transportation originally said the $396,000 project was scheduled to be finished by August 3, before the Branch County Fair gets underway, but now it might be sooner.
